Donn Hallman has been teaching music since 1997, starting out in a few school districts and then settling in on teaching homeschoolers. Along with parents, Orange Coast Musical Arts was formed to provide band, orchestra and choir for homeschool musicians. He and his wife Anne-Marie, have 5 children and live in Huntington Beach. Mr. "H's" favorite pastimes include swimming, hiking, English Country Dancing and reading.
I got my Bachelors of Music in Composition with emphasis in Film Scoring at USC Thornton School of Music. I taught piano privately for almost 15 years, and had to quit after having 3 children so I could homeschool them and be with them full-time. We've been in OCMA ever since my first daughter was in kindergarten, so about 7 years. I have helped with pit for marching band and drumline, am the accompanist for the Kingdom and Magnum choir, and will now be teaching piano at Village. I have a passion for passing on the love of music to the younger generation, for them to be able to express themselves through music. I am so grateful for this opportunity to serve other homeschooling families in this way!
